Foliage is the stunning Michelin starred restaurant situated in luxurious London hotel The Mandarin Oriental, where the beautiful views over Hyde Park create the perfect romantic setting. A big it on the London restaurant scene, Foliage is a particular favourite amongst romantic diners looking for a very special place to take their loved one. The interiors of this sumptuous restaurant were designed by Adam Tihany and full advantage has been taken of the spectacular views of Hyde Park with the largest of windows. Rosewood panelling, rich fabrics and contemporary sleek lines provide a fashionable yet comfortable scene. The Michelin star winning menu is a pure delight, where a succession of small dishes are offered which might include artichoke, confit potato, black truffle and quails egg; tuna and foie gras with yuzu and grapefruit; Dover sole burnt butter, cockles and dried grapes or endive tarte tatin with ceps. The sweets are equally as impressive and include Calvados soufflé with iced parfait of green apples and sea salt spiked caramel or hazelnut parfait, poached pear and coffee syrup. The adjoining Mandarin bar is the perfect place to enjoy a post dinner drink and a glorious ending to a perfect romantic meal of the highest quality.
