Kensington Place is a one of Kensington’s favourite restaurants and is spot on for a chic, laid back romantic meal in London. Opened back in 1987, Kensington Place has gained a loyal legion of regulars and after being taken over by restaurant giants D & D, things have only improved. The setting is spacious and bright, with a huge glass frontage overlooking the street outside allowing plenty of natural light to flood through. A mecca for local foodies and celebs, Kensington Place was once a favourite of Princess Diana, a testament to its quality. The menu has also been revamped and now features a fabulously exciting regionally inspired French cuisine, created by Head Chef Daniel Phippard. Indulge in dishes such as pheasant cannelloni with lentil salad and a celeriac and chestnut crumb or cod fishcakes with tapenade and tomato vinaigrette and parsley purée for starters followed by venison pie with crisp puff pastry and goat’s cheese or sea bream with chorizo, tomato cassoulet, saffron aioli and grilled potatoes.
