If you fancy a romantic Indian meal of world class proportions, then head to the amazing Rasoi, London’s Michelin starred Indian restaurant that has scooped numerous awards and accolades for its first class Indian cuisine. Situated in a plush Chelsea townhouse, Rasoi is a beautiful setting for a spot of Michelin starred romance, with a colourful dining room complete with an intimate glass roofed area. At the helm of the Rasoi kitchen is Indian chef and owner Vineet Bhatia, a maestro when it comes to Indian cooking of the highest order. Bhatia has a gift of creating flavours and textures and uses high end European techniques for presentation to create exciting dishes such as scallop and prawn brochette with raw mango and black lentil khichdi or masala foie gras to start with followed by grilled spice marinated duck escalopes with hot tamarind chutney, sautéed garlic shitake mushrooms and onion fritters or slow cooked lamb shank korma with morels, saffron mash and rosemary naan bread. Don’t dismiss dessert either, the chocolate craving or poached pear, ginger and yoghurt cheesecake with blueberries and fennel sorbet are fine examples of the sweeter side of Bhatia’s menu. Rasoi is a Chelsea hotspot, therefore it is recommended to book well in advance in order to enjoy the romantic Indian meal of a lifetime.
