Considered as one of the best places to dine in the Covent Garden area of London, The Forge is a smartly dressed French restaurant, offering an upmarket style of romantic dining. Nestled in the heart of Covent Garden, on the corner of Garrick Street and Floral Street, The Forge is great looking restaurant where exposed brick walls have been painted white to sit in contrast with the dark wood tables and funky turquoise seating. The third Covent Garden restaurant from Robert Seigler, owner of Le Café de Jardin and Le Deuxieme, The Forge has a relaxed and informal feel and is ideal for a laid back meal for two in the heart of the capital. The French menu created by Head Chef Andy Barber features a fine selection of French classics such as steak tartare and French onion soup, yet also comprises of some rather innovative offerings like baked wild halibut with Puy lentils and jus gras or veal Holstein with a fried quail’s egg. The wine list offers over 500 options with many offered by the glass. Close to many of the major theatres, The Forge is a top spot for a romantic pre show meal.
