Villandry Restaurant along London’s Great Portland Street is just the ticket for romantic dining couples who are really passionate about food. Combining a restaurant, wine bar and deli, Villandry Restaurant is a foodie’s paradise where the focus is on seasonal, modern British cooking. The restaurant design has been kept simple and sleek, with stone floors and minimalist décor but the twinkling candlelight in the evenings sets a wonderfully romantic scene. The al fresco tables are a real bonus too in the summertime. The menu at Villandry Restaurant changes twice daily, meaning that only the best ingredients are used at all times, most imported directly by the owners of Villandry. The steak tartare is hugely popular as is the cold poached salmon with herb salad and mayonnaise. Other options might include duck confit with Toulouse sausages; roast goose breast with parsnip purée, red cabbage and red wine sauce or whole grilled Mersea lobster with chips and aioli.
